AUMOVIO, formerly the Automotive group sector of Continental, will present its latest innovations for motorcycle electronics and safety for the first time as an independent company at EICMA 2025 in hall 9, stand M62. Product highlights include the new Motorcycle ABS 2.3, an Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) for e-bikes by AUMOVIO Engineering Solutions and the new 6.3-inch instrument cluster powered by the Traveo II micro controller. With its tagline “Ride into the Future. With AUMOVIO”, the technology company is underlining its focus on safe, exciting and connected motorcycle technologies. The new AUMOVIO branding reflects the company’s ambition as an adaptive powerhouse that spearheads innovation while maintaining its long-standing commitment to customer relationships, reliability and technical expertise.

Always stable on the road – thanks to ABS

Among the innovations, and on display for the first time, is the Motorcycle ABS 2.3. It offers a cost-effective entry into the two-channel ABS segment as well as several advantages over established systems: compared with its predecessor, the MK 100 MAB, its weight and box volume have been reduced by around 20 percent. An optional inertial measurement unit (IMU) in the form of an onboard sensor combines an accelerometer and a gyroscope, enabling enhanced safety features such as curve braking, traction control and Advanced Rider Assistance Systems (ARAS) functionality – all without additional hardware.

AVAS compact artificial sound system

Electric vehicles must alert nearby pedestrians and animals of their presence. AUMOVIO’s Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System (AVAS) for two- and three-wheelers uses actuators instead of conventional speakers, reducing weight and space requirements by up to 75 percent. These actuators are hidden from view, offering manufacturers greater design flexibility. Sound profiles can be customized to a specific brand, ensuring distinct and recognizable audio signatures.

Versatile instrument cluster portfolio

Also on display at EICMA will be the latest AUMOVIO instrument clusters, ranging from 6 to 8.8 inches, which feature high quality displays with optional touch functionality. A standout is the mid-range 6.3-inch instrument cluster powered by the Traveo II micro controller. It features a strong setup of hardware and software, offering a vertically aligned TFT LCD with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, optical bonding for improved readability as well as an anti-reflective and anti-fingerprint coating. The modular design allows OEMs to easily tailor the user interface and layout to their model’s cockpit, minimizing redesign effort.

Smart mobility with the Connected Infotainment Box

With the Connected Infotainment Box (CIB), AUMOVIO brings motorcycles online – without needing a smartphone. The compact solution combines LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) with an integrated six-axis inertial unit to enable turn-by-turn navigation as standard as well as other advanced rider services. By merging connectivity, sensing and software in a single device, the CIB reduces weight and installation complexity while supporting over-the-air updates (OTAs) and a voice assistant. The result is a cost-efficient, future-proof platform that enhances safety, convenience and digital experiences on two wheels.
