Ruggedized SMA Locking Cable Assemblies Create Secure and Compact Connections

Amphenol RF expands its cable assembly portfolio with minimal footprint cable assemblies designed for durability and supporting reliable RF performance in challenging conditions.

Amphenol RF is pleased to introduce new SMA locking cable assemblies into our growing portfolio that deliver high-frequency, secure performance in a flexible, low-profile package. These pre-configured assemblies are engineered to be highly resistant to severe vibration and mechanical stress with one end featuring a locking MHF 4 LK connector. This cable assembly configuration is available in both SMA and reverse polarity SMA options designed on 1.37 mm micro-coaxial cable making them ideal for IoT devices, UAVs, communication networks and defense applications.

These SMA and RP-SMA assemblies deliver reliable RF performance up to 7.1 GHz and are manufactured with ruggedized connectors to support a diverse array of design requirements. SMA connectors utilize a threaded coupling mechanism and are constructed from gold-plated brass, while MHF® 4 LK connectors are made from gold-plated phosphor bronze. 1.37 mm micro-coax cable offers a balance of performance and size with its high flexibility and ability to handle high-frequency signals. The combination of these durable connectors with this compact cable type assures reliability in demanding and rigorous environments.

Pre-configured SMA and RP-SMA to MHF 4 LK cable assemblies are available in a variety of standard lengths in both IP67 on non-IP67 configurations. This new off-the-shelf solution joins a broad offering of SMA assemblies to meet the increasing need for miniaturization and high-frequency data transmission in next-generation designs.
