Amphenol Socapex Introduces High-Performance TEMPER-GRIP Power Contacts for Demanding Applications

Amphenol Socapex is launching  the TEMPER-GRIP Power Contacts. Designed to meet the growing demand for higher current-carrying capacity and superior performance in harsh environments. TEMPER-GRIP Socket Contacts set a new standard in reliability for high-current and high-temperature applications.

TEMPER-GRIP Socket Contacts leverage exclusive Napkin-Ring technology, enabling stable and low-resistance connections even under extreme temperature fluctuations, with an operating temperature range from -65°C to +200°C. Ideal for military, aerospace, naval, ground vehicles, space, and C6ISR markets, these contacts could deliver up to 40% higher current capacity compared to standard contacts within the same form factor (For reference only – mated with high-current pin).

Available in both hooded and non-hooded versions, TEMPER-GRIP contacts offer a variety of termination options and are fully compatible with industry-standard connectors such as MIL-DTL-38999, EN3645 for size 8 contacts or with D38999 Power series for size 4. Additional designs are available for AS5015 connector series – Please consult us.

Thanks to their designs and materials choice, Temper-Grip socket contacts are the perfect choice to follow the need of high-current capability and more demanding applications requested by the market

The introduction of our TEMPER-GRIP Power Contacts demonstrates Amphenol Socapex’s ongoing commitment to innovation and reliability,” said Laurent Lagrange, Director of Contact line at Amphenol Socapex. ” By carrying higher current on a standard contact size with a more robust design, we are empowering our customers to meet the demands of next-generation electronic and power generation systems across a variety of critical applications.
