Power Supplies by Lifud brand for LED Lighting

The popularity of LED lighting is associated with the demand for power supplies with varied parameters. In recent decades, manufacturers specializing exclusively in the production of such modules have appeared on the market. One of the most experienced suppliers in this industry is Lifud Technology Co., Ltd, whose products are offered by TME.

The offer of the Lifud brand includes LED drivers for various applications: from lighting small spaces to extensive illuminations (e.g., production halls). The assortment includes models with many functions, equipped with various protections, constant voltage and constant current versions. Below we present an overview of this assortment organized according to their parameters and capabilities. Most of the presented models can be purchased directly from our warehouses, ensuring lightning-fast shipping.

LED Drivers from Lifud

The presented LED power supplies are switching devices. They have typical, compact formats used for installation in lighting fixtures, surface and flush-mounted boxes, etc. Most are adapted to power standard mains voltages of 220…240V AC, but selected versions also accept voltage from 100V up to 277V AC. For connection, they use screw or spring terminals (speeding up assembly), while those described below with a high degree of protection are equipped with pre-installed cables.

Interfaces

Many Lifud drivers are equipped with communication interfaces for centralized control of lighting systems. Primarily, they support the standards DALI and DALI-2 designed to cooperate with motion sensors, buttons, dimmers, and other components – allowing the installation to be modified without interfering with physical wiring routes. Selected power supply models also support the D4i interface, which offers expanded capabilities, including two-way information transmission (e.g., for monitoring energy consumption).

In practice, communication is most often used for adjusting lighting intensity and switching between arrangements. Besides digital interfaces, special voltage inputs (connected to potentiometers) 0…10V DC may be used for the first function.

NFC Programming

NFC programmable drivers have only standard connectors.

Another method for arranging lighting and switching between preset operating modes is offered by programmable drivers equipped with an NFC communication module. Their initial configuration is carried out using an application on a phone/tablet or using a computer with a peripheral that allows for near-field communication. This way, changing the program does not require direct access to the power supply terminals and can be done even through plastic enclosures. This not only allows changing the driver’s behavior after the first and subsequent wall switch presses but also modifying the driver’s operation in other ways. Lifud products support, for example, CorridorDIM functions (maintaining minimal lighting in rooms when nobody is present) and CLO (Constant Lumen Output) ensuring constant, precisely defined light intensity as LEDs age over time.

Available Powers

It is worth noting that Lifud’s driver offer includes a selection of models with varied power ratings. Customers can choose versions from 8W to 250W. For LED lighting, such parameters mean optimal light emission even for large rooms or outdoor installations. This is indirectly related to their sizes. The most compact versions fit in a 97x43x30mm housing. It is also worth mentioning that selected power supplies from the manufacturer achieve efficiency levels up to 95%.

Protections

To ensure the safety of users, installations, and LED modules, Lifud power supplies have been equipped with many protective circuits (not always all of those listed below appear, differences exist between models). These are:

  • OCP (Over Current Protection) – overcurrent protection, functioning similarly to a standard fuse but resettable, preventing permanent damage;
  • OLP (Over Load Protection) – eliminates the risk of excessive power draw from the power supply;
  • OVP (Over Voltage Protection) – overvoltage protection;
  • SCP (Short Circuit Protection) – protection against short circuits in the receiver circuit;
  • OTP (Over Temperature Protection) – thermal protection.

Regarding the last one, it should be mentioned that drivers are adapted to wide temperature ranges (even from -40°C to 60°C), which has two advantages: allowing them to be used in enclosures and difficult environmental conditions, e.g., machine parks or outside buildings.

Constant Voltage and Constant Current Models

Lifud ensures the availability of both constant current power supplies and constant voltage models. Installers and lamp manufacturers can therefore select a module suited to their design assumptions. For drivers for series-connected lighting (i.e., constant current versions), the adjustable current may be from 75mA to 2.1A, and the output voltage can reach values up to 356V DC. For variants operating in constant voltage mode (12V or 24V DC), the output current range reaches up to approx. 16.7A.

Protection Class

IP67 class power supplies have pre-installed cables.

Lifud power supplies are available in two protection classes: IP20 (basic protection against dust only) and IP67. The latter show complete resistance to dust and water (including water jets under pressure, e.g., from washers). These are programmable versions, allowing adaptation to application needs. They come in constant voltage and constant current variants, with power up to 250W. They operate in temperatures from -40°C to 60°C. All these features allow drivers to be used outdoors, for architectural, street, parking, and other demanding lighting installations.
