Amphenol RF is pleased to announce the addition of MMCX straight and right-angle plug cable assembly configurations into our growing portfolio. These assemblies feature rugged IP67-rated bulkhead SMA, TNC, RP-TNC and N-Type straight jacks, providing reliable performance in demanding environments. These assemblies are designed on flexible RG-174 cable which provides excellent electrical performance up to 3 GHz and reliable connectivity in short-distance, low frequency RF applications.
These between-series assemblies allow a cable to be connected from outside of a panel where a threaded interface is located and are specifically designed for wireless communication modules with MMCX connectors on the PCB. This combination combines the compact footprint of the board-mounted MMCX interface with the durability of more robust external connectors. The versatile design supports a wide range of applications including portable devices, GPS, Wi-Fi and within vehicle designs such agricultural construction, earth moving, mining and other heavy industrial equipment. External connectors are sealed to prevent temporary ingress of water and fluids, helping to protect system integrity in harsh operating conditions.
These new MMCX assemblies join a growing lineup of pre-configured solutions engineered to connect wireless modules to external antennas while providing enhanced environment protection and resistance to tampering. These assemblies can be purchased through authorized distribution partners in standard lengths from three to 48 inches.
