PALM Expo Launches Delhi Edition to Unlock North India’s Growing Professional Audio – Visual and Lighting Market

Informa Markets in India has announced the launch of PALM Expo Delhi, marking a strategic expansion into North India’s rapidly growing Pro AV ecosystem. Building on the success of PALM Expo Mumbai, India’s leading trade platform for professional audio, visual, and lighting technologies- the new Delhi edition will serve the capital region’s thriving professional AV community. The inaugural edition is scheduled to take place from January 7 to 9, 2027, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, bringing together 70–100 curated exhibitors. The premier expo is expected to attract 5,000–7,000 qualified industry professionals, creating a focused, premium business environment for meaningful industry engagement.

The show was launched at a high-octane industry networking evening in New Delhi, bringing together CEOs, industry leaders, innovators and key stakeholders from across the professional audio, lighting and Pro AV ecosystem. The gathering enabled high-level dialogue, strategic partnerships and meaningful networking among industry leaders.

This marks a significant milestone for India’s professional audio-visual and lighting industry, bringing the country’s most established industry platform closer to one of its fastest-growing regional markets.

The expansion into Delhi is driven by strong regional market fundamentals. North India accounts for 40–45% of India’s total AV hardware market, with Delhi NCR emerging as a key hub for corporate, government, institutional, as well as events and celebrations-led deployments. Backed by substantial investments in digital infrastructure, higher disposable incomes and a dense ecosystem of corporate headquarters, venues and educational institutions, the region offers exhibitors direct access to high-value decision-makers across B2B and B2G segments.

Commenting on the launch, Mr Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India, said,“PALM Delhi is a strategic response to the scale and maturity that North India’s Pro Audio and Lighting ecosystem has achieved. With the professional audio market valued between USD 750 and 850 million and the lighting industry approaching USD 2 billion, growing at over 11% annually, the region represents one of the most dynamic growth corridors in the country. Premium audio adoption here is 25% higher than the national average, and over 300 professional venues position North India as a focal point of India’s audio-visual industry transformation. The demand for advanced, large-scale solutions continues to accelerate. PALM Delhi has been conceptualised as a focused industry platform to deepen sector engagement, expand market reach, and deliver stronger value to this industry.”

Mr Ramesh Chetwani, Project Director, Informa Markets in India, added, “For 23 years, PALM has been at the centre of India’s professional audio and lighting industry, and the continued trust of our exhibitors has enabled us to bring PALM Expo to Delhi. PALM Delhi will focus on Home Audio and Advanced Display and Visual Technologies, two rapidly growing segments aligned with North India’s premium consumer demand. With Delhi’s world-class exhibition infrastructure and outdoor demonstration areas, we aim to create a definitive platform for the region while continuing to drive innovation and growth across the professional audio, lighting, and AV sectors.”

A key feature of the Delhi edition will be dedicated Line Array demonstration zones. Leveraging the expansive outdoor infrastructure at Bharat Mandapam, PALM Delhi will enable real-world, high-fidelity audio demonstrations, an essential requirement for professional audio evaluation.

The exhibition will showcase a comprehensive mix of international and domestic offerings, with approximately 80% international brands represented through Indian distributors and 20% indigenous manufacturers presenting ‘Make in India’ solutions. The expo will feature four specialised pillars designed to address high-growth segments: Pro Audio Solutions, Home Audio & High-End Speaker Systems, Advanced Display & Visual Technologies, and Entertainment & Project Lighting Solutions. A defining feature of the Delhi edition is its emphasis on Home Audio and Visual Technologies, sectors witnessing strong growth and premium adoption in North India.

The exhibition will highlight key technology trends that are shaping the future of the industry, including the growing demand for spatial and immersive audio-visual experiences and the adoption of AI-powered audio management for enhanced performance and efficiency. The show will also showcase advancements in integrated AV environments that enable seamless connectivity across systems, along with the increasing use of digital signage and interactive display solutions across corporate, retail and public spaces. In line with evolving sustainability goals, the event will feature eco-friendly and energy-efficient AV technologies, while also addressing the rising importance of hybrid and virtual event solutions that support flexible, scalable audience engagement.

With a focused exhibition format and strong regional market opportunity, PALM Expo Delhi is well-positioned to establish itself as North India’s premier annual platform for professional audio, visual and lighting technologies.

Voices Shaping the Industry:

Emphasising the growing importance of North India in shaping the future of the Pro Audio, Lighting and Pro AV industry, Mr. Rishubh Nayar, Sales Director, Christie, said, “The region is witnessing rising demand for advanced AV solutions across international conferences, experience centres, command and control facilities, higher education campuses and corporate environments, particularly in Delhi NCR. Supported by strong public investments and national-scale initiatives, North India continues to set new benchmarks in the scale and technical sophistication of projects. In this context, PALM Expo Delhi offers a timely industry platform for technology providers, integrators and decision-makers to explore new solutions, exchange expertise and accelerate innovation across the professional AV ecosystem.”

Mr. Arun Kumar, Business Manager (Asia & Middle East), Genelec Oy, said, “India’s AV industry has seen strong post-pandemic growth, with customers increasingly shifting towards solution-driven buying. The rise of AI and wider access to technical knowledge will empower institutional buyers to make more informed decisions, encouraging higher standards across the industry. This shift favours knowledgeable suppliers and solution providers who deliver quality and expertise. The launch of PALM Expo Delhi reflects this momentum and continues to provide a valuable platform for showcasing the latest AV technologies.”

Mr. Rhythm Arora, CEO, Qubix Technologies, said, “Mumbai remains the pulse of India’s entertainment industry with its strong cinema and production ecosystem, while Delhi serves as the country’s cultural and policy capital with influential institutional and diplomatic networks. The AV and entertainment landscapes in these cities are therefore distinct, one driven by industry and the other by influence. Launching PALM Expo in Delhi is a strategic move, placing the platform within reach of nearly two-thirds of India’s population and a rapidly expanding market that will shape the next phase of industry growth.”
