PCIM Asia Shenzhen 2026 to focus on e-mobility, AI data centre, renewable energy and smart energy power needs

PCIM Asia Shenzhen 2026 will focus on the power electronics needs of three application markets placing new demands on power infrastructure: e-mobility, AI data centres, renewable energy & smart energy. Part of Asia’s leading event series for the power electronics industry, the exhibition returns to the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center from 26 – 28 August 2026. It will expand its scale to 30,000 sqm, with more than 300 domestic and international exhibitors expected to participate and welcome professional visitors from around the world.

The return of major industry players reflects the confidence that the power electronics sector places in the PCIM Asia platform. Mitsubishi Electric and Infineon will serve as strategic partners, while Semikron Danfoss, Fuji Electric and ROHM will participate as platinum sponsors. Long-term exhibitors such as CRRC and Power Integrations will also take part, alongside a number of new exhibitors joining the 2026 edition.

Exhibits will showcase the components, equipment and applied solutions supporting the sector from development and manufacturing to finished applications. Technology coverage areas include integrated circuits, power semiconductors, sensors, power supplies, electronic testing and measurement, passive components, connectors, switches, semiconductor manufacturing and inspection technologies.

Three fair zones to showcase applications in high-growth AI, e-mobility and renewable energy & smart energy
The 2026 exhibition will host three special zones built around key growth markets for power electronics: the “Industrial Chain Display Zone – Power Electronics for E-mobility”, the “AI Data Centre Power Ecosystem Zone”, and the “Renewable Energy & Smart Energy Zone”, with each combining a mix of product displays, multimedia presentations and industry-led forums.

Making its return in 2026, the Industrial Chain Display Zone – Power Electronics for E-mobility will showcase power electronics applications for power devices, electric drive systems, on-board power supplies, and vehicle applications. Exhibits will focus on wide-bandgap power semiconductors (SiC, GaN), high-power-density packaging, and thermal management solutions. A dedicated e-mobility forum will run alongside, addressing megawatt charging, hydrogen fuel cells, low-altitude mobility and other frontier technologies.

The AI Data Centre Power Ecosystem Zone, new to this edition, addresses the growing energy demands that large-scale AI computing places on data centre infrastructure. Focusing on the full power delivery chain from grid interfaces to chip-grade power transmission, the zone will present high-voltage DC power supplies, solid-state transformers, high-power-density modules and advanced liquid cooling systems. Three concurrent forums, the AI Power Application Forum, the Smart Drive and Control Forum and the GaN for Physical Conference, will examine the technical and design considerations specific to high-density data centre environments.

Also new, the Renewable Energy & Smart Energy Zone is structured around the complete lifecycle of clean energy technology: power generation with a focus on photovoltaics, energy storage through dedicated storage systems, energy application in EV charging infrastructure, and the development of core power electronics solutions. Guided by the theme “Power Electronics Driving Green Energy Systems,” the zone features the SiC and GaN devices utilised in photovoltaic inverters, energy storage converters, and charging modules.

Concurrent forums to feature 192 sessions on technology trends and market growth
PCIM Asia Shenzhen’s 2026 fringe forum will comprise 192 sessions, with free admission for industry visitors. Topics will range from foundational device technologies to end-use applications, with highlights including:

  • Global Strategy Summit: Exploring market trends and globalisation strategies for the power semiconductor industry.
  • Power Semiconductor Rising Stars Summit: Focusing on emerging domestic players in IGBT and wide-bandgap semiconductors and the broader development of China’s power semiconductor industry.
  • 13 further theme forums covering SiC, GaN, IGBTs, packaging, testing, and power electronics, in addition to application-focused sessions on AI power supplies, intelligent drives, clean energy, solid-state circuit breakers, and e-mobility. Technical seminars and new product launches will run throughout.

The upcoming edition will also introduce two new co-organised forums. “GaN for Physical AI,” developed in collaboration with Yole Group, a global semiconductor market research firm, will examine the use of gallium nitride in physical AI. “Breakthrough and Coexistence,” held in partnership with Chinese semiconductor media platform, Semiconductor Industry Observer, will address the commercialisation of wide-bandgap technologies.

Academic partners will contribute two additional joint forums. Pinghu Laboratory will bring its research focus on ultra-wide-bandgap semiconductor technologies to a forum on R&D developments and industrial applications, while a specialist power electronics team from Xi’an Jiaotong University, led by Professor Wang Laili, will share research and commercialisation experience in power device packaging and testing.

Conference programme to connect research with industry applications

Held concurrently with the exhibition, the PCIM Asia Shenzhen Conference will bring together global companies and academic experts to present more than 120 papers across 19 specialised topics, grouped under three themes: “From device to system,” “From ground to low-altitude” and “From computing power to energy”. Topics include wide-bandgap semiconductors, power devices, packaging and reliability, motor drives, new energy vehicles, smart grids, AI computing infrastructure and data centre power supplies.

Registration for the PCIM Asia Shenzhen Conference is now open, with early-bird discounts available until 31 July 2026.

  • One-day pass: RMB 1,280 (regular price RMB 1,600),
  • Three-day full pass: RMB 2,560 (regular price RMB 3,200).
