VJ Electronix Summit Rework Systems – VJ Electronix, a global provider of precision PCB and BGA rework systems, will highlight its Summit rework technology at the SMTA Silicon Valley Expo & Tech Forum on Thursday, December 3, 2026, at the Fremont Marriott Silicon Valley in Fremont, California. With seven different models available, the Summit product line offers solutions for a range of electronics manufacturing requirements, from semi-automated rework to fully automated processes for complex, high-density assemblies.
VJ Electronix’s Summit rework systems are designed to help manufacturers address increasingly demanding component sizes, board configurations and thermal requirements while maintaining process consistency and minimizing the risk of damage to valuable assemblies. The product line combines precision alignment, controlled heating and software-driven process management to support reliable component removal and replacement.
“Manufacturers need rework solutions that can accommodate increasingly complex assemblies while maintaining precision, repeatability and control over the process,” said Don Morgenstern, National Sales Manager at VJ Electronix. “With seven Summit models available, we can help manufacturers identify the right solution for their specific applications, whether they need to address exceptionally large components or implement automated rework with minimal operator intervention.”
Summit LT150: Rework for Large, High-Density Assemblies
The Summit LT150 extends VJ Electronix’s rework capabilities to components as large as 150 mm. Its expanded 150×150 mm vision area, proprietary high-power heating architecture and advanced thermal controls support precise alignment and uniform heating across large component footprints. The system is designed for challenging applications involving large BGAs, power modules and other high-density assemblies. The system’s advanced vision capabilities support accurate component placement, while its controlled heating process helps protect sensitive components and surrounding board areas.
Summit 2200i: Automated Rework with Minimal Operator Intervention
The Summit 2200i Automatic Rework System is designed for high-mix, high-volume manufacturing environments where repeatability and process control are essential. Its automated capabilities include component alignment, programmable motion and thermal profiling, enabling removal, solder scavenging, replacement and reflow across multiple components in a single rework cycle without operator intervention. The system’s 1-2-3-GO software simplifies process setup, while independent non-contact site scavenging removes residual solder and Dynamic Height Sensing helps protect PCB pads during the process. Automated data logging and thermal profile analysis also support process traceability and repeatability across production operations.
Together, the LT150 and 2200i demonstrate the breadth of the Summit portfolio, providing manufacturers with options for both challenging large-component applications and automated rework processes. Across its seven models, VJ Electronix offers configurations suited to varying board sizes, component dimensions, automation requirements and production needs.
