DEV Systemtechnik to Showcase its INFINIT Digital RF Platform for Satellite Ground Segments at Space Tech Expo in Bremen

DEV Systemtechnik announced that it will showcase a leading-edge Digital RF proof-of-concept (PoC) Platform on booth T.50 in Hall 6 during the Space Tech Expo Bremen, taking place from November 18th to 20th.

With co-funding from the European Union and the State of Hesse, DEV has developed a high-performance platform that enables the transmission of satellite IF and RF signals via terrestrial optical IP backbones. The INFINIT Digital RF Platform will serve as the foundation for upcoming products contributing to the growing DIFI ecosystem, ensuring interoperability with various DIFI-compatible systems in the satellite ground segment signal chain.

DEV leverages the latest semiconductor technology to achieve outstanding analog-to-digital and digital-to analog conversion performance. As such, the platform allows direct sampling of RF signals above 6 GHz with a software-defined resolution of 12 bits. The TX channels feature high-performance DACs with up to 16-bit depth, enabling the generation of complex waveforms with exceptional CNR. On-chip digital up- and down-conversion capabilities support software-defined adaptation to required frequencies and bandwidths. Each of the four TX and RX channels can support up to 2,000 MHz of instantaneous bandwidth.

The platform delivers exceptional performance headroom—not only enabling the conversion of existing analog infrastructure to digital—but also supporting future digital ground station requirements for upcoming constellations such as the EU’s IRIS², as well as other New Space and governmental applications.
