Mouser Electronics, Inc., the industry’s leading New Product Introduction (NPI) distributor with the widest selection of semiconductors and electronic components, is now stocking the LMH13000 high-speed laser driver from Texas Instruments.
The Texas Instruments LMH13000 is a high-speed voltage-controlled current-output laser driver for LiDAR and time of flight that supports fast rise and fall times of <1ns for pulsed current-output applications. This voltage-controlled current source enables accurate current control, and using the VSET pin helps adjust load currents to compensate against variations with aging and temperature. The LMH13000 module supports continuous currents up to 1A and pulsed currents up to 5A, depending on frequency, heat dissipation, and duty cycle. The LMH13000 current driver is housed in a TI proprietary HotRod package that eliminates the internal bond wires that help achieve an ultra-low inductance in the high-current path, enabling designs to reach faster current rise and fall times. The device operates between 3V and 5.5V, with an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +125°C (+150°C maximum die temperature). An integrated thermal shutdown protects the die from excessive die temperature.
The LMH13000 high-speed pulsed and continuous output current driver is ideal for use in industrial optical sensors, Time-Of-Flight (TOF) range finders, high-speed current loads, Optical Time-Domain Reflectometry (OTDR), and medical applications such as In-Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) and flow cytometry.
