The ProSoft Technology PLX3x protocol conversion gateways, now available from Mouser, are powerful, cost-effective solutions for transferring data between devices that use different protocols. The PLX30 gateways offer multiple communication methods (Client, Server, Master, Slave, I/O connections, and messaging) to optimize communication. These industrial-rated gateways are stand-alone, DIN-rail mounted, and can provide up to four (4) isolated serial ports.
The PLX82 protocol conversion gateways feature dual Ethernet ports that allow different protocols to operate on separate subnets, seamlessly integrating systems, such as EtherNet/IP, IEC 61850, Modbus TCP/IP, and PROFINET. The onboard SD slot (SD card optional) can be used for storing configuration files that facilitate recovery, transferring the configuration to another gateway, or for general configuration backup.
The AN-X3 and AN-X4 phase migration gateways are next-generation solutions designed to seamlessly bridge modern EtherNet/IP systems with legacy automation networks. These gateways offer a flexible and phased migration path for upgrading Reliance AutoMax DCS/Remote I/O or transitioning from older PLCs, HMIs, and field devices.
The PLX51 modernization gateway provides connectivity to EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP/IP, or Modbus Serial networks for PROFIBUS DP networks by operating as a PROFIBUS DP slave. For easy integration with Rockwell Automation Controllers, the gateway and configuration software create dynamic analog input/output (AIO) tags based on user configuration, allowing the addition of logical tag names to the PLC project file and reducing programming time.
