Now at Mouser: ams OSRAM Mira050 NIR Enhanced Global Shutter Image Sensor for Industrial, Consumer, and Machine Vision Applications

Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest electronic components and industrial automation products, is now shipping the new Mira050 near-infrared (NIR) enhanced global shutter image sensor from ams OSRAM. The Mira050 is a compact 0.5MP image sensor developed for 2D and 3D consumer and industrial machine vision applications.

The ams OSRAM Mira050 NIR enhanced global shutter image sensor, available from Mouser, is ideal for 2D and 3D applications, including active stereo vision (ASV), structured light vision (SLV), and both augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR). The Mira050’s high sensitivity in near-infrared light (NIR) allows an expanded measurement range and overall system power consumption optimization, including reduced off-chip processing, which is essential for battery-powered consumer and industrial applications. Featuring state-of-the-art BSI technology and a small 2.79µm pixel size with high sensitivity, the Mira050 is ideal for low-light applications and has a MIPI CSI-2 interface, enabling easy integration with multiple processors and FPGAs, and scripting in Python using the picamera2 library.

Mouser also stocks the ams OSRAM Mira Optical Sensor Evaluation Kits, offering a Raspberry Pi 4 B-based platform to evaluate both the Mira220 and Mira050 image sensors. Featuring fully configured image signal processing (ISP), including RAW image capture for optimal image quality, the kits are based on Libcamera software, an open-source camera stack and framework for Linux, Android, and Chrome OS.
