J-CAT LYRA Soldering System:
Apollo Seiko, a leading innovator in soldering technology, will exhibit its latest selective soldering innovation, the J-CAT LYRA, at the Electrical Wire Processing Technology Expo, taking place May 6–7 at the Baird Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Attendees are invited to visit Booth 1026 to experience the system firsthand.
Designed to deliver precision, flexibility, and efficiency, the J-CAT LYRA features advanced temperature setting capabilities that enable precise control of iron tip temperature. This ensures high-quality soldering across components with varying heat capacities, resulting in reliable through-hole fill and consistently flawless back fillets—critical for long-term product performance and reliability.
The system also incorporates Apollo Seiko’s innovative approach function, allowing for additional axis movement during soldering. This feature simplifies programming and setup by making point teaching faster and more intuitive, significantly reducing initial setup time and improving overall productivity.
To further enhance throughput, the J-CAT LYRA offers optional dual iron units and dual feeders. Powered by a high-performance controller, the system can operate two feeder units simultaneously, reducing cycle time by up to 50%. The dual iron capability also enables efficient soldering of high heat capacity components, providing manufacturers with greater flexibility to handle complex assemblies.
Visitors to Booth 1026 will have the opportunity to see live demonstrations and learn how the J-CAT LYRA can optimize their soldering processes.
