Silicon Labs’ EFM32PG22 MCUs, Now at Mouser

Deliver Optimized Energy Efficiency for IoT Edge Applications

Mouser Electronics is now stocking the new EFM32PG22 (PG22) microcontrollers from Silicon Labs. The new Series 2 Gecko microcontrollers are ideal for energy-efficient and space-constrained applications in consumer electronics, appliances, personal hygiene devices, and Internet of Things (IoT) edge and industrial automation devices.

The Silicon Labs PG22 microcontrollers, now available at Mouser, combine high performance and low energy consumption with easy-to-use, cost-efficient analog capabilities. The microcontrollers incorporate a low-power Arm Cortex-M33 core running at up to 76.8 MHz, plus up to 512 Kbytes of flash and 32 Kbytes of RAM. The devices consume just 26 μA/MHz in Active Mode at 38.4 MHz and as little as 0.95 µA in DeepSleep mode with 8 Kbytes of RAM retention.

Peripherals include a 12-bit 1 Msps successive approximation (SAR) analog-to-digital converter (ADC), eight-channel DMA controller, digital microphone interface, and 32-bit real time counter. The microcontrollers also boast a comprehensive suite of security features, including secure boot with root of trust and secure loader (RTSL), true random number generator, and hardware cryptographic acceleration for AES128/256, SHA-1, SHA-2 (up to 256-bit), ECC (up to 256-bit), ECDH, and ECDSA.

The PG22 microcontrollers are pin- and software-compatible with the EFR32xG22 wireless SoCs (BG22, MG22 and FG22), allowing designers to leverage a scalable embedded platform to simplify product development and help drive cost efficiency.

The PG22 microcontrollers are supported by the PG22 Dev Kit, which includes four different environmental sensors and stereo PDM microphones, providing an ideal platform for the development of energy-friendly electronic devices.
