onsemi to Showcase Advanced Industrial Solutions at International Internet of Things Exhibition in China

See innovations for factory automation, smart buildings and asset management at Hall 2, Booth 2C17/1

onsemi will showcase its latest technology advancements at International Internet of Things Exhibition (IOTE),to be held October 23-25 in Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. Visitors to the onsemi booth (2C17/1 at Hall 2) at this leading IoT trade show in Asia will be able to see demonstrations of the company’s intelligent solutions for factory automation, smart buildings and asset management, and discuss applications with its technical staff.

The onsemi booth will showcase the recently announced AR0234CS 2.3 MP CMOS image sensor, which features high dynamic range and an innovative pixel design that delivers superior image clarity at 120 fps for machine vision cameras and autonomous mobile robots.

Available demonstration for a variety of factory automation applications will include an X-Cube reference design based on the XGS 5000. The device is a 5.3 MP (2592 x 2048) CMOS image sensor in 2/3 inch optical format, supporting up to 132 frames per second (fps) readout with 12-bit output at full resolution .The XGS 5000 shares a common design and footprint with other members of the XGS family, allowing one camera design to support multiple resolutions to simplify and speed time to market for new camera designs.

Visitors can also previewa 1/8-inch CMOS digital image sensor with an active-pixel array of 640 x 480 that incorporates a new and innovative global shutter pixel design optimized for fast and accurate capture of moving scenes. This small size, feature-rich device is designed for high performance while ensuring low-power operation and is ideal for Video Graphic Array (VGA) industrial cameras for smart access control.

For smart buildings, onsemi will highlight sustainable, battery-free applications enabled by the industry’s lowest power RSL10 Bluetooth® Low Energy (Bluetooth LE) radio. One demo is the RSL10 Solar Cell Multi-Sensor Platform, which is a complete, low-cost solution for developing self-powered sensor nodes using harvested solar energy to provide continuous sensor technology with no battery required. Another demo is the Energy Harvesting Bluetooth Low Energy Switch featuring the RSL10 SIP, which is a self-powered reference design for battery-free smart applications including lighting, door and window control, and step counters.

A connected lighting solution featuring the NCL31000 LED driver is another highlight for smart buildings. This solution with data intelligence and accurate positioning (up to 30 cm) allows IoT manufacturers to develop LED luminaires with light-based positioning technology and visible light communication.

Asset management is another exciting area to explore at the onsemi booth, as many industries invest in new ways to receive real-time, actionable data and insights into an asset’s state of being (monitoring) and location (tracking). Leveraging the Quuppa Intelligent Locating System™ Real Time Location Services (RTLS), the RSL10 Asset Tag  will demonstrate indoor localization, which is a competitive advantage for companies in manufacturing, warehousing and logistics domains.

The Avnet IoTConnect® Platform incorporating the RSL10 Sensor Development Kit offers a selection of pre-integrated hardware and software solutions with a range of connectivity options. The cloud-based ecosystem can remove as much complexity from the IoT development process as possible.

In addition, Henry Yang, onsemi Senior Marketing Manager at Industrial Solutions Division will address Smart Home Innovative Application Summit with “Bluetooth Low Energy Technologies for Smart Buildings” at 11:00 on October 24 in seminar room 2 at Hall 1.
