New at Mouser: Altera Agilex 5 FPGAs and SoCs for Industrial, AI, Medical, Data, and Defense Applications

Mouser Electronics, Inc., the authorized global distributor with the newest electronic components and industrial automation products, is now shipping the new Agilex 5 FPGAs and SoCs from Altera. The Agilex 5 FPGAs and SoCs serve a broad range of high-performance, low power, smaller form factor, and logic density uses, such as wireless and wireline communications, video and broadcast equipment, industrial, test and measurement, data centers, medical, and defense applications.

The Altera Agilex 5 FPGAs and SoCs, available from Mouser, feature enhanced digital signal processing (DSP) with AI tensor blocks infused throughout the FPGA fabric, delivering high-efficiency artificial intelligence (AI) and DSP functionality. An asymmetric applications processor system, consisting of dual Arm Cortex-A76 cores and dual Cortex-A55 cores, enables performance and power-efficiency optimization for workloads. Built using Intel 7 technology, the Altera Intel Agilex 5 FPGAs offer advanced features such as a second-generation Intel Hyperflex FPGA architecture, high-speed transceivers supporting up to 28.1 Gbps, plus PCIe 4.0 x8 DDR memory interface up to DDR5 at 4000 Mbps, and general-purpose I/O from 1.05V to 3.3V. These characteristics make the devices ideal for midrange FPGA applications across the edge and core, delivering ultra-low, deterministic latency and true hardware parallelism for sensor fusion, making them ideal solutions for powering physical AI systems, including humanoid robots, AI-driven medical devices, and autonomous vehicles.

Mouser also stocks the Altera Agilex 5 FPGA E-Series 065B Premium Dev Kit, which delivers an ideal balance of power efficiency and performance, serving markets such as embedded systems and edge computing. This kit comes in a tabletop form factor, packed with a robust set of features and connectors interfacing with extensive transceivers and DDR4 memory. Additional features include PCI Express 4.0 x4 connectivity through our FMC+ connector, Nios Flash memory, and 2 Gb QSPI Flash memory. The E-Series 065B premium dev kit incorporates a hard processor system (HPS) expansion board.
