Inovaxe LS350 Smart Rack to Debut at SMTA Long Island Expo 2026, Enhancing SMT Material Handling

Inovaxe LS350 Smart Rack – Inovaxe, a leading provider of innovative material handling and inventory storage solutions for the electronics manufacturing industry, will exhibit at the SMTA Long Island Expo on Thursday, October 1, 2026. The company will feature its Line Side Model LS350 Smart Rack, a mobile, storage system designed to optimize line-side replenishment for surface-mount technology (SMT) production floors.

Electronics manufacturers continue to face pressures around floor space utilization and the need for rapid changeovers in high-mix environments. The LS350 system is engineered to hold up to 192 reels of 8mm tape on a single, compact cart, allowing for multiple days of operation to be staged directly at the point of use.

The LS350 is part of Inovaxe’s LS Series of Smart Racks. Key capabilities being highlighted at the show include:

  • Compact: The LS350 accommodates 192 8mm reels (or a mix of larger sizes) in a mobile frame measuring just 15.5 inches wide and 38 inches high, allowing it to fit in tight spaces near SMT lines.
  • Intelligent Replenishment: The integrated 10-inch touchscreen runs Inovaxe software that monitors feeder status. It prompts operators for reels with a “Low Line” condition in the exact order they are needed, reducing search time and manual data entry.
  • Mobile Provisioning: The cart is designed to follow logical routes between line-side stations and supermarkets. It can query stations for requirements based on MIN/MAX levels and prompt for reel transfers without the need for scanning between the mobile and line stations.
  • Supermarket Integration: Unavailable parts can be routed to central supermarket stations by part number, with requests displayed on the line-side racks for streamlined fulfillment.

Alongside the live demos, Inovaxe will also be highlighting its new InoHD™ platform through video walkthroughs and on-site discussions. The system takes a different approach to a familiar problem—floor space.

InoHD™ replaces traditional storage aisles with servo-driven mobile shelving combined with smart sensing and pick-to-light technology. The result is dense storage without sacrificing accessibility. Operators can access materials directly where they’re needed, with built-in verification to help prevent picking mistakes.

In terms of capacity, the system is designed to store 10,560 SMT reels within a compact footprint of 8 ft x 4 ft, while still maintaining fast, guided retrieval. For manufacturers working with limited space—or trying to avoid expanding it—that kind of density can make a noticeable difference. Visitors to the Inovaxe table at the SMTA Long Island Expo are invited to speak with David Ly about how the LS Series enhances material traceability and reduces operator touchpoints. David will be available to answer questions and discuss how smart storage solutions can be tailored to a range of production environments—from smaller operations to high-mix, high-volume lines.
