Rajasthan the state of culture and forts got 4 cities shortlisted in first and third round of announcement under the smart cities mission of Union Govt. Jaipur, Kota, Udaipur and Ajmer will be funded by INR 500 Cr to develop the cities under the guideline of smart city project. Rajasthan proposed 5 cities to the central Govt from which 4 has been declared and 1 is awaited.
