RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc, the global distributor for engineers, has been selected by Bulgin as ‘Distributor of the Year’ for 2016/17 – a result of the increasingly close working relationship that has been developed between the two companies over the past few years.
Bulgin designs, engineers and manufactures world-class sealed circular connectors and electronics components. The company is also well known for its popular Buccaneer range of circular connectors, which provide reliable, robust connections for power, signal and data in harsh environments.
Delivering strong support for new Bulgin product launches over the past four years, RS has grown its global sales team and built up stock to meet growing customer demand, which has resulted in RS gaining a distribution market share of almost 30 per cent in the EMEA region for Bulgin components.
“This award is recognition of the significant investment on many fronts made by RS to grow sales of Bulgin’s robust and reliable interconnection technologies,” said Eric Smith, Head of Product Management IP&E at RS. “We have been working together to improve communications and stock profiling to ensure that RS has the right connector products available at the right time.”
