Intel is not only a processor manufacturing brand; it is more than that. Intel with its continuous endeavors in innovation and technology is constantly solving the global challenges. The technologies are not only constrained to mega factories or big financial gains, they are improving and enhancing the day to day life of human beings.  The year 2017 has sparked many possibilities for future and Intel is turning those dreams into reality by its innovative solutions and constantly improving approaches. According to Intel’s 2017 review published, let us see the technology and solution with Intel eyes.

Autonomous Driving:  Intel is constantly engaged to build a technology that will make autonomous driving safe and successful.   Intel has already acquired Mobileye, an established company in autonomous driving technology.  By combining its high-performance computing and seamless connectivity with Mobileye’s computer vision expertise, Intel will bring synchronization between cloud and car. According to Intel, the future autonomous world will be $7 trillion by 2050 and the long-term goal is to reduce road traffic crashes fatalities and save millions of lives by its high-end solutions. The solution will not only provide the safe roads but also take care of  entertainment realm to make it a world-class experience

5G: The need for speed and less latency is the future of wireless standards under 5G. Intel reinventing the data network, building 5G hardware to connect the next billion devices and partnering to establish new 5G standards. Intel aims to make the journey from a device at edge via high-speed network to the clouds and back with low latency.

Artificial Intelligence:  AI is the major turning point and a technology, which will enhance every aspect of life.  To power the AI device and to meet their performance needs Intel family of  Xeon processors, FPGAs, internet of things technologies, machine intelligence platforms from Movidius and Mobileye and the forthcoming Intel Nervana processors denotes big plans.  Intel announcing a $1 billion investment to the companies for supporting AI.

Neural Network: Intel is not only investing in current technologies but also helping to shape-up future technologies. Driving towards future, Intel has developed Nervana Neural Network Processor family with-in a year of its acquisition of Nirvana, a Deep learning startup. Building future compatible with emerging technologies, Intel Lab announced a self-learning neuromorphic test chip and 17 qubits superconducting test chip for quantum computing.

Virtual Reality: Intel is turning virtual reality into reality by enhancing massive computer power, sensing, capturing and managing a huge amount of data. Intel 8th Gen Core processors, software innovation and technologies such as Optane and Thunderbolt delivered big increases in power and performance.

Drones Technology:  Intel-powered unmanned aerial vehicles are touching skies.  Drones have extended their coverage from entertainment industry to wildlife research. Their industrial applications are numerous. Intel partnered with researchers to track and ensure the well-being of species in danger and monitor them in extreme conditions.

Datacenters: Intel processors families keep on increasing performance and adding up new features of security, agility and virtualization.  These innovations keep on accelerating hybrid clouds, AI and 5G network.

Internet of Things: Intel’s Internet of Things Group provides end to end solution for connected devices. Its secure device Onboard makes deployment of connected devices secure and faster. The technology is connecting the logistic platform to track, monitor, locate shipments, temperature with other conditions to ensure food quality and less spoilage.  Intel and Bosh also taking care of air quality by monitoring air with their micro-climate monitoring system.

Memory: Intel is famous for its place in the development of memory chips. Intel 3D NAND and  Optane nonvolatile memory technology have created miracles for the shrinking sizes of devices.  Intel understands the demand for shrinking size and high performance, its year after year 3D NAND Solid state drive is proving it.

FPGA: Intel Field Programmable Gate Array and memory are accelerating every technology.  According to Dan McNamara, as the data centers are growing and to cater their need for power efficiency demands biggest adoption cycle for FPGA’s ever.
