PCIM Asia 2023 to open on 29 August

Taking place from 29 – 31 August, PCIM Asia 2023 will present the latest breakthroughs and developments in power electronics, intelligent motion, renewable energy and energy management. 181 exhibitors will display their innovative technologies across 12,000 sqm of exhibition space. Some of the exhibitors attending this year’s show include: AOS, CRRC, Heraeus, Inventchip, Keysight, LEM, Littelfuse, MACMIC, NOVOSENSE, onsemi, PN Junction, Power Integrations, Silan, Sun.King, Toshiba and Yangjie. The event also has continued support from the following five sponsors: Mitsubishi Electric, Semikron Danfoss, Fuji Electric, Infineon and ROHM.

The fair is once again hosting a variety of themed zones focusing on important aspects of power electronics development. Themed zones at the 2023 edition include the E-mobility Zone, 3rd Generation, Semiconductor Pavilion, Poster Session Area (part of the Conference), and University Zone. With a comprehensive coverage of power electronics, ranging from power semiconductor components and modules to electrical devices, passive components, thermal management, as well as test and measurement, the fair aims to meet the sourcing requirements of all attendees.

In addition to the exhibition, a series of forums will also take place focusing on a variety of different themes. These include the “Power Electronics Application Forum”, “The 3rd Generation Semiconductor Forum”, “New energy development under the carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals” and “Electrical transportation technology in the Industry 4.0 era”. There will also be a “Shanghai International Forum on Smart Home Energy Efficiency Control and Household Energy Management” co-organised with the concurrently held Shanghai Smart Home Technology.

PCIM Asia Conference explores the future of power electronics
This year’s PCIM Asia Conference, one of the industry’s most respected conferences in the region, returns with a wide variety of presentations including keynotes, oral and poster sessions, tutorials and a special session led by Infineon Technologies and Rompower Energy Systems exploring GaN based high power density supplies.

There will also be several awards hosted at the conference recognising the achievements made by those in the industry for contributing to its development and innovation. These include the “Best Paper Award”, “Young Engineer Award” and “University Scientist Award”.
