Minebea Mitsumi Semiconductor Project in Tamil Nadu to See Rs 1,980 Crore Investment

Minebea Mitsumi Semiconductor Project – Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay on Tuesday met senior executives of Japanese company Minebea Mitsumi at the State Secretariat to discuss the company’s proposed semiconductor and precision components project in Tiruvallur, involving an investment of Rs 1,980 crore.

According to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Office, the meeting focused on strengthening investment cooperation and reviewing progress related to the project, for which a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) had already been signed earlier.

The discussions were attended by Minebea Mitsumi Chairman Katsuhiko Yoshida along with senior officials including Shoji Shishido, Daesuke Matsuda, Mokka Kyohara, and Sam George.

The state government said the interaction is part of ongoing engagement with the Japanese firm as Tamil Nadu continues efforts to attract high-value manufacturing and semiconductor investments while expanding industrial partnerships with global companies.
