EDGE2017 Now Seeking Partners for Annual Cybersecurity Conference

National cybersecurity conference extends partnership opportunities for fall event in Knoxville

KNOXVILLE, Tenn., May 5, 2017–The EDGE2017 Security Conference, a world-class cybersecurity conference where complex business security problems meet real-world solutions, is now expanding strategic partnership opportunities for companies and organizations for their second annual national event October 17-18, at the Knoxville Convention Center in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Keynote speakers at the conference include 33 year Air Force veteran and former director of operations for U.S. Cyber Command, Maj. Gen. Brett T. Williams, and renowned “white hat” hackers Charlie Miller and Chris Valasek, best known for their remote compromise of a 2014 Jeep Cherokee, whereby they obtained physical control of the vehicle, exposing serious security flaws; the results led Fiat Chrysler to recall 1.4 million vehicles.

EDGE2016 showed us there’s a genuine interest in what we’re offering, both for cybersecurity professionals as well as security and business executives,” said John McNeely, president of Sword & Shield Enterprise Security, the cybersecurity firm hosting EDGE2017. “We are looking to partner with companies who want to advance the security industry through innovation and collaboration between both worlds. With an expected turnout of 600 plus attendees, there’s real opportunity to network, engage and interact with a wide range of professionals, including representatives from health care, retail, banking, manufacturing, and the public sector.”

Premium sponsorships packages offer a variety of options, including speaking opportunities in the general sessions, complimentary EDGE2017 passes, and brand recognition and awareness before, during and after the conference. Additionally, sponsors will receive a 10 percent discount on EDGE2017 passes that can be distributed to their customers and prospects.

“Our theme this year is Shift Forward, and we’re looking for partners who are dedicated to advancing the security industry by fostering a community of creative problem solvers,” said Raymond Kahre, EDGE2017 event director and vice president of Sword & Shield Federal. “There are ways for sponsors of all levels to get involved, and we’re especially excited about the number of speaking opportunities that are available for our Diamond and Gold level sponsors. The topics and abstracts that have been submitted from our recent Call for Speakers are very compelling and relevant to the cyber issues of the day, and our top sponsors have a chance to join this impressive lineup of presenters.”

Booth space at the conference is included in each premium sponsorship package, and there are a limited number of sponsorships available.
