Bel Power Solutions and Protection, a Bel group company and premier global manufacturer of power management devices, announces the SPSPFF3 System (Power Modules, Shelf, Controller and Power Distribution Unit (PDU)). These products are designed for systems and applications where DC-DC conversion from an existing -48 V supply to 12 V is required, such as central offices redesigned as data centers.
The SPSPFF3 System is a complete computer rack power solution and includes:
• SPSPFF3-01 (Shelf)
• PFF3000-12-069RD (Power Module/Supply)
• YSD.00273 (PDU) and ZLH.U1C00.0 (cable harness set)
• NAC2006-01 (Controller)
The SPSPFF3 System is designed for secure remote monitoring and is fully compliant to EMC and safety standards and carries the CE mark. SPSPFF3 components have a nominal -48 V input voltage, which covers a range from -40 V to -72 V, and will convert into a fully regulated and isolated single output voltage of 12.5 V. The converter can operate in a fan cooled environment and uses digital controls for fan speed regulation. These new SPSPFF3 system products are highly efficient with excellent dynamic response to load / input changes and low output voltage noise. In addition, there is a 6 slot shelf, PDU and shelf controller for full remote control and monitoring of the system via SNMPv1/2c/3 through a 10/100 MB base Ethernet port.
Shelves are available for OCP V2 bus-bar style connection. The PDU fits into the OCP V2 rack opening and cables from the PDU to the shelf are available as well, making this a one-stop-shop V2 power solution. The converters are 3 kW each, hot swap capable and fully protected against over-current, -voltage, -temperature and reverse polarity. Features include active analog current share for parallel and redundant operation, as well as secure remote monitoring with the SNMPv3 protocol via the Network Attached Controller hosted in the shelf. These innovations make the PFF Systems ideal for a broad range of applications in DC-DC markets that require high power density and telecom/central office voltage compliance.
