onsemi to Host a Series of Live Power Webinars to Address Power Efficiency Design Challenges

Events will enable engineers to meet power experts and discuss their design needs

onsemi to host a series of live power webinars targeting some of the most pressing power efficiency challenges engineers face today.

The virtual live events, which are scheduled to take place between Oct 29 and Nov 26, will include in-depth technical and practical presentations on eight topics. They will explore the merits of different solutions for real-world applications that optimize power efficiency and system performance to meet increasingly stringent efficiency requirements.

Power engineers in Greater China can select from the following webinars in Mandarin, with each  featuring one to two topics, and attend the one(s) most relevant to their design needs:

  1. Power Factor Correction – Optimization Options for Oct 29

This webinar will demonstrate ways to optimize efficiency over the load range while reducing the cost and consider the benefits of bridgeless and interleaved solutions.

  • Physically Based, Scalable SPICE Modeling Methodologies for Modern Power Electronic Devices; and Using Physical and Scalable Simulation Models to Evaluate Parameters and Application Results for Nov 5

This two-topic webinar will propose novel physical and scalable SPICE models for power electronic semiconductors, including wide bandgap devices, as well as using

an advanced SPICE modeling approach to enable design optimization through a direct link between SPICE, physical design, and process technology.

  • Control Loop Design and Easy Verification Method; and Analysis, Simulation and Experiment Paves the Road to Success for Nov 12

This webinar will discuss two topics. As loop control represents an essential part of the design of a switching power supply, the first topic will present a simple methodology to measure and optimize the control loop of a switching system. The second topic will review some available tools to help engineers calculate, simulate and measure a prototype before starting production.

  • Introduction to LLC Resonant Converters; and Synchronous Rectification Implementation for Nov 19

The first webinar topic will discuss LLC topology in power supplies for medium and high-power resonant mode converters, which offer high-efficiency and high-power density in mass-produced electronic equipment. The second topic will present an overview of all phenomena involved in synchronous rectification and detail the different waveforms applied in each technique used in a synchronous rectifier controller.

  • 3-PHASE PFC for 10 kW Industrial and Automotive Applications for Nov 26

This webinar will cover the practical aspects of the hardware and software implementation of a 3-phase PFC converter for high power industrial and automotive applications.
