Fujitsu Group achieves gold medal in EcoVadis sustainability rating

EcoVadis sustainability rating – Fujitsu Limited today announced that the Fujitsu Group has received a gold medal in the sustainability rating conducted by EcoVadis, an international rating agency. This marks the first time the Fujitsu Group has achieved a gold medal, ranking it among the top 5% of companies assessed, in recognition of its continuous improvement in sustainability initiatives.

EcoVadis is one of the world’s largest sustainability rating platforms, with over 150,000 companies participating from more than 180 countries. As global interest in corporate sustainability activities grows, EcoVadis is widely utilized by many companies as an international benchmark for demonstrating the effectiveness of their sustainability efforts. The EcoVadis sustainability rating comprehensively evaluates companies’ activities across four themes based on its unique criteria: “Environment,” “Labor & Human Rights,” “Ethics,” and “Sustainable Procurement.”

Fujitsu Group’s Initiatives

Specific activities include aiming for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its entire supply chain by fiscal year 2040. To achieve this, the company is working on visualizing CO2 emissions throughout its supply chain and collaborating with global suppliers to visualize CO2 emissions from purchased raw materials. In this assessment, the Fujitsu Group was highly praised for its continuous global initiatives and their improved effectiveness, particularly in the “Environment” and “Sustainable Procurement” categories, as well as for strengthening its promotion system across the entire supply chain, which led to the gold medal.
