NXP Semiconductors Announces Plans to Relocate to New Headquarters in Hamburg Bahrenfeld

What’s New: Following 100 successful years in Lokstedt, the new site will be located on the Tasköprüstraße in Hamburg-Bahrenfeld. It will be designed according to the specific work environment needs of the NXP team in Hamburg with more than 800 team members, and will be home to research, development, testing and marketing for NXP’s automotive, industrial and IoT businesses, as well as general management functions. In addition, the new site will accommodate NXP Hamburg’s competence centers, such as for System on Chip (SoC) Security, Artificial Intelligence at the Edge and System Innovation for Automation, Robotics, Health as well as its TeraHertz Laboratory for mobile communication and automotive radar innovations.

The new location, close to the Science City Hamburg, supports further engagement in driving the high-tech ecosystem development in Hamburg and beyond. The new site will feature timeless architecture with a goal in meeting state-of-the-art sustainability criteria, enabling interdisciplinary collaboration in a hybrid world and bringing team members closer together.

The development of the project has been conducted by Hamburg based real estate group Captiva, turning the former wholesale market site into a modern corporate headquarters. AUG. PRIEN Projektentwicklung is continuing the project development, will construct the new building and will lease to NXP. CBRE GmbH advised NXP throughout the entire transaction process. The planned move-in date is early 2031.
