DigiKey, the leading global electronic components and automation products distributor, is sponsoring the 2025 Circuit Digest Smart Home and Wearables Project Contest, which encourages hobbyists, engineers and students in India to build solutions for smart homes and wearables that make an impact on society.
The design contest is open to engineers, students and makers in India to showcase their creativity and innovation through smart home and wearable design ideas. Participants can register and submit their ideas at CircuitDigest.com until November 30, showcasing how they would use development boards from Analog Devices, Adafruit and Espressif Systems within their designs. The contest is designed to give participants everything needed to turn project ideas into reality and includes prizes worth up to ₹7,00,000, including free development boards.
“DigiKey is proud to sponsor the Circuit Digest Design Contest for another year of innovative thinking and building,” said Ben Brookes, director, regional marketing for DigiKey. “We look forward to seeing what participants come up with in the smart home and wearables spaces and encourage all makers to think big.”
The first 60 approved project ideas will receive a ₹6,400 rebate to purchase a development board as well as free goodies. The finalists will then commence building and documenting their projects, and capturing a video to demonstrate the project in action. The first place winner will receive ₹1,30,000, second place ₹70,000, third place ₹45,000 and the top ten entries will each receive ₹8,500. Final winners will be announced in February 2026.
