HAKKO FX-97X Series: Soldering and Rework Stations for Electronics

HAKKO FX-97X Series – American Hakko Products, Inc., a leading provider of soldering, rework and electronics assembly solutions, highlights its FX-97X Series of soldering and rework stations, including the FX-971, FX-972 and FX-973.

Designed to support a range of soldering and rework requirements, the series progresses from the compact 100W FX-971 Soldering Station to the 200W FX-972 Dual-Port Soldering Station and the 400W (max) FX-973 3-Port Rework Station. Across the series, operators can select from multiple compatible handpieces while using Hakko Control Software for parameter setup, profiles and data recording.

The HAKKO FX-971 Soldering Station is a lightweight and compact 100W station with a minimal footprint to maximize workbench space. Compatible with four handpieces, including standard and micro options, the FX-971 features a 15-degree face tilt, large LCD screen, multi-button functionality and an iron holder with built-in tip storage and tip exchange features. A password lockout feature provides process control, while compatibility with the FG-100B/101B Tip Thermometer enables measurement and wireless offsetting of tip temperature to the station.

For applications requiring additional capability, the HAKKO FX-972 Dual-Port Soldering Station is a 200W station designed to utilize multiple handpieces for varying operator needs. It supports eight different types of handpieces, including regular and micro soldering irons, rework tweezers, micro rework tweezers, heavy-duty soldering irons and nitrogen handpieces. The FX-972 also features a large LCD screen, intuitive user interface and wireless IR temperature offsetting.

The series extends into rework with the HAKKO FX-973 3-Port Rework Station, which delivers up to 400W of power for modern electronics rework. Supporting up to 10 handpieces with a wide temperature range, the FX-973 features an integrated vacuum pump and is compatible with the FR-4103 Desoldering Gun and FR-4104 Desoldering Pencil. Additional features include a clogging indicator, wireless IR offset functionality and a holder with built-in tip storage and tip removal.

All three stations work with HAKKO Control Software, allowing operators to store and load multiple parameter settings for process management control, set profiles and tip temperatures, record tip temperature and offset measurement data, and view a real-time temperature graph from a PC.

Together, the FX-971, FX-972 and FX-973 provide a range of options for soldering and rework applications, from a compact single-port soldering station through dual-port operation to a three-port rework platform with integrated vacuum capability.
