Cambrionix India Expansion – Cambridge-based Cambrionix, a developer of intelligent USB connectivity and device management technology, is expanding into India – a global hub for software testing – and has appointed international business development consultancy Intralink to support the move.
Cambrionix’s technology enables organisations to charge, sync, test and manage large numbers of connected devices simultaneously. It combines industrial-grade, multi-port hardware with management software, enabling device estates to be monitored and controlled remotely from a single platform.
The company operates in three core sectors: software quality assurance (SQA), circular technology – including refurbishment, trade-in and buyback programmes – and education technology.
Intralink specialises in helping companies to secure customers, partners and investors in overseas markets. It operates from 27 locations worldwide, including Silicon Valley, Boston, London, Paris, Düsseldorf, Poznań, Tokyo, Shanghai, Taipei, Bangkok, Jakarta and New Delhi.
The rapid growth of AI-assisted coding is increasing the volume of software being developed in India – and the amount that needs to be tested on real devices rather than emulators. A significant proportion of QA work is carried out by Indian development and data centre operations, creating demand for real-device testing infrastructure close to where this work takes place. This represents a major expansion opportunity for Cambrionix, which already has more than 1.8 million active ports deployed worldwide.
India also has one of the world’s largest and fastest growing secondary device markets, with trade-in and buyback programmes operating at scale. India’s new Digital Personal Data Protection Act will introduce GDPR-style obligations around data erasure, security safeguards and record-keeping, most of which come into force in May 2027. It requires organisations handling devices at end of life, trade-in, lease return or enterprise refresh to demonstrate that devices have been properly processed, wiped and tested rather than relying on a factory reset alone, opening demand for Cambrionix’s services.
Intralink’s Mumbai-based team will map opportunities across Cambrionix’s core sectors and introduce the company’s technology to Indian businesses running large-scale device processing and QA operations.
