Ainuo ANRGS(F) Regenerative Grid Simulator – Intepro Systems, a leading provider of innovative power test instruments and systems, announces the availability of the Ainuo ANRGS(F) Series Regenerative Grid Simulator. Designed for testing a wide range of high-power applications, the simulator features AC, DC and AC+DC output capabilities and power ratings from 3kVA to 120kVA. The programmable simulator utilizes sine wave pulse-width modulation (SWPM) and field-programmable gate array (FPGA) digital processing to accurately simulate a wide range of grid-related test conditions. Providing full four-quadrant operation in all voltage-current combinations, the ANRGS(F) Series enables both sourcing and sinking power across positive and negative polarities—which is essential for testing bidirectional and regenerative systems while providing significant energy savings to reduce operating costs.
The Ainuo ANGRS(F) Series Programmable Grid Simulator and AC source is designed to simulate abnormal grid operations, including instantaneous rise, drop, short circuit, jitter and other distortions of the mains power waveform. Users can set waveform switch-on and switch-off angles for testing surge current as well as set voltage and frequency rate-of-change to scan the range of power input specifications for the object being tested. The Ainuo ANGRS(F) Series Programmable Grid Simulator also provides accurate and fast measurement of power parameters. Key functions include:
| EMC Parameter / Test | Description & Capabilities | Target Standards |
| Harmonics & Interharmonics Emissions | Utilizes its harmonic synthesis function (covering 2–50 times interharmonics with a 3,000Hz bandwidth) to simulate grid distortion and test equipment tolerances. | IEC 61000-3-2 / IEC 61000-3-12 |
| Voltage Dips, Short Interruptions and Variations | Uses built-in step, pulse and sequence programming functions to instantly generate voltage sags, rises, dropouts and transients. | IEC 61000-4-11 (AC) / IEC 61000-4-34 (Hi current) |
| Voltage Fluctuations & Flicker | Evaluates how fluctuations from the equipment affect power networks or how susceptible the device is to rapid line variations. | IEC 61000-3-3 / IEC 61000-3-11 |
“The ANGRS(F) Series simulates critical real-world grid conditions—sags, surges, transients and a range of output voltages and frequencies—and it also generates advanced waveforms,” said Andrew Engler, spokesperson for INTEPRO. “This versatile, programmable simulator is ideal for testing power supplies, UPS systems, inverters and other AC-powered devices, as well as a range EV power conversion, battery testing and other DC applications.”
The simulator offers: wide input range (342-480VAC, 3Ø, 47-63Hz), wide output range (0-350VAC, 1Ø/3Ø, 30-100Hz and ±495VDC) and high efficiency (≥92%).
