RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the global distributor for engineers, is adding 120 products from leading workwear supplier Scruffs to its Personal Protection Equipment and Site Safety range.
Setting the standard since 2003, Scruffs designs workwear and safety footwear for a new generation of professionals, engineered with technical expertise to deliver outstanding comfort, durability and functionality.
The new range of footwear includes: Scruffs Grind GTX (GORE-TEX) boots in black and brown; Scruffs Cheviot boots; Scruffs Twister nubuck boots; Scruffs Switchback boots in nubuck and black; and Scruffs Halo 2 navy boots – available in all popular sizes.
The company’s Grind boots are S3 rated, fully waterproof and breathable, and include GORE-TEX laminate, steel toe and composite midsole. Its Cheviot boots, also S3 rated, offer an aluminium toe and composite midsole for a lightweight feel, and include a deep tread sole for great grip. Its best-selling Twister range has supple full-grain leather uppers, a padded tongue and collar for extra comfort, and a highly flexible lightweight PU-to-rubber sole, with safety being assured thanks to an impact-resistant steel toe and anti-penetration midsole. Its Switchback boots, described as a “next-generation” work boot in terms of style and construction, include a steel toecap with a moulded toe protector, a composite midsole, and also offer high levels of comfort for extended use. Finally, its Halo 2 sports-styled safety trainers feature a steel toe, composite midsole and padded tongue and ankle collar for extra comfort, along with a flexible sole for working in tight spaces.
Completing the new product introduction is a variety of trousers, fleeces, jackets, men’s and women’s hoodies and polo shirts, socks, hats and kneepads. Like the footwear, these products have been designed with style in mind as well as safety and protection, so staying safe and looking good has never been so easy.
