Mumbai, 26th April 2017: In 2009, India began a plan of replacing 4 million inefficient incandescent bulbs with CFL by 2012. By 2013 several Indian states announced plans of replacing some 200,000 fluorescent tube lights with LEDs.LEDs remain a minority in the Indian market with only three to five percent market share as existing CFL users are less willing to convert to LED lighting. The bi-annual LED Expo 2016 has created an ideal arena for LED and lighting sector since years. This year 202 companies will be exhibiting at LED Expo 2017, which includes 110 Indian companies, and 84 International companies. The signature event of the expo, the LED Summit will take place at LED Expo 2017 by storm with “Smart Solutions for Future Lighting” being the main topic of discussion for the leaders in LED lighting systems. Several topics like Adapting Wireless Technology to Lighting Control, Affordable Lighting Solutions: Projects, Next Generation Connected Lighting: New Trend in the Lighting Industry will be the hot topics of discussion at the summit.
