Hella Presents New Lighting Solutions for Police, Fire Brigade and Rescue at Florian Fair in Dresden

HIGHLIGHTS:

  • LED hand searchlight Modul 70 Generation 3 enables directional lighting during deployment
  • FWL-LED front warning light suitable for police and covert operations thanks to quick mounting to windshield

From October 5 – 7, 2017, lighting and electronics expert HELLA will present its portfolio of work lights and beacons, interior lights, roof beams and additional lighting systems at the FLORIAN 2017 in Dresden, the trade fair for fire brigade, civil and disaster protection (Hall 4, Stand M7).

With its “Modul 70 Generation 3 hand searchlight”, HELLA for the first time presents a particularly flexible LED work light. A handle and a long spiral cable make this possible. The work light can be used flexibly in this manner while illuminating the surrounding in a targeted manner. The light is furthermore equipped with four high-power LED’s whose 6500° Kelvin color temperature is very similar to daylight. This enables drivers to better distinguish colors at night which makes driving less tiring. Specially developed reflectors will additionally project the beam 160 meters into the distance. The reduced power consumption of 13 watts is an additional advantage.

In time for the fair, HELLA will present a further innovation for police applications: the FWL-LED front warning light. The additional light for the vehicle interior creates a directional front signal. Suction cups enable quick mounting to the windshield. The warning light is thus ideal for covert operations.

In addition to the novel lighting solutions, HELLA will also present tried and tested products from its portfolio, such as the “Ultra Beam Generation 2 LED“ work light. With its 4000 measured lumens, it exceeds the lighting power of current xenon lights and provides homogenous illumination thanks to its multi-facetted reflector. With its LED work light “Q90 Compact”, the automotive supplier will also present a product of its Thermo Pro series. The work light is equipped with a heat-conducting, corrosion-resistant plastic body diverting heat effectively and thus increasing the service lives of LED’s and control electronics.

With its new all-round sound combination RTK 7, HELLA will present a further lighting product especially for emergency vehicles. Special feature: The LED two-colour module allows switching from blue to yellow warning light by the push of a button. The blue light can furthermore be controlled separately for the front and rear. RTK 7 thus meets the requirements of European markets.

As a highlight in the area of beacons, HELLA will present an extension to the proven K-LED family: the K-LED 1.2 LED-beacon. It is available in rotating and flashing versions. The dual lighting system in the K-LED 1.2 provides a larger light exit area and therefore a very strong warning function. The beacon is dust-tight and waterproof against short water immersions up to one meter. It thus meets the European IP 67 norm for electric operating equipment.
