Mouser Electronics is now stocking an expanded selection of Alaska® Ethernet transceivers from Marvell Semiconductor.
The Alaska C 88X5113 Ethernet transceiver is a fully integrated Ethernet transceiver that performs the Gearbox functionality required to translate from 40G Ethernet to 25G Ethernet. The device, fully compliant with the IEEE 802.3by 25GbE and 802.3bj 100GbE standards, enables design engineers to support IEEE 25GbE specifications on their existing switch ASICs without the expensive investment involved in new silicon development.
Alaska M 88E2010 and 88E2040 devices are octal Multi-Gigabit Ethernet transceiver compatible with both IEEE 802.3bz standard and NBASE-T Alliance specification for 2.5 and 5 Gbps operation over CAT5e cables. The devices support Category 6 (screened or unscreened), Category 6a (augmented) and Category 7 type cables, as well as Category 5e type cables for distances up to 100 m. The devices also support a variety of host interfaces (2500BASE-X, 5000BASE-R, SGMII), as well as 10G host interfaces such as USXGMII interface and XFI/RXAUI with Rate-Matching. The transceiver family also features full backward compatibility with lower-speed legacy Ethernet (1000/100/10 Mbps) on the line side.
The Alaska X 88X2222 and 88X2242 transceivers are fully integrated single-chip solutions that providing end-to-end data transmission over fiber-optic networks as well as Twinax copper links. The 88X2222 device supports two ports of 10G SFP+ connectivity, while the pin-compatible 88X2242 is designed to deliver support for one port of 40G QSFP+ or four ports of 10G SFP+ Ethernet connectivity. The devices offer ultra-low-latency, wire-speed encryption for security and high reliability with port failover mechanisms.
