The kit provides a modular design containing three boards: the main board, the motor control board, and the imaging board. The main board is powered by an STM32H725 microcontroller, which integrates various functionalities and controls the motor and imaging boards. The motor board is based on an STM32G071 microcontroller built for motor control and actuation, utilizing motor drivers to regulate the speed and direction of the robot’s movements. The imaging board is supplied with a VL53L8CX time-of-flight (ToF) sensor and a CAM-56G3 camera module, which allows it to perceive and interact intelligently with its surroundings.
An LSM6DSV16BX iNEMO inertial measurement unit (IMU) and LIS2MDL magnetometer enhance the STEVAL-ROBKIT1 kit’s capabilities by supplying precise orientation and motion sensing, crucial for navigation and stability in dynamic environments.
