Non-Magnetic MCX Connectors – Amphenol RF is pleased to announce the expansion of our non-magnetic MCX product series with additional coaxial connector configurations. These connectors are designed with non-ferrous materials and plating to eliminate magnetic interference in sensitive applications. Non-magnetic MCX connectors provide the same high-performance as standard options and are ideal for demanding environments such as medical equipment, quantum computing components and wireless modules.
The new non-magnetic MCX connectors are available in straight and right-angle plug and jack configurations with through hole and surface mount options. They are manufactured with with gold or white bronze plated, beryllium copper bodies and contacts. These connectors feature a ‘NM’ marking to clearly identify them as non-magnetic products and eliminate potential mix-ups during the installation of multiple components.
These connectors join a growing portfolio of non-magnetic RF solutions which includes other standard interfaces such as MMCX, SMB, SMP and SMPM. Non-magnetic interconnects are critical for systems operating with strong magnetic fields in order to prevent distortion and safeguard sensitive electronics.
