AUMOVIO to Showcase Advanced Automotive Aftermarket Solutions at Automechanika 2026

Automotive Aftermarket Solutions – Following its spin-off from Continental, AUMOVIO will make its debut in the independent aftermarket from September 9 to 13, 2026, at Automechanika in Frankfurt, Germany – the world’s largest international trade fair for the automotive aftermarket. Under the motto “Shaping tomorrow. Together!”, the two long-established brands ATE and VDO will take center stage together. With a broad product range and practical solutions for workshops, AUMOVIO is sending a clear message: two strong brands are pooling their expertise to guide the industry into a changing world of mobility.

“ATE and VDO represent two different worlds in the aftermarket – brake technology on the one hand, electronics and sensor technology on the other,” says Enno Straten, Managing Director of AUMOVIO Aftermarket. “The fact that we can now showcase both brands together at Automechanika clearly demonstrates the wealth of solutions AUMOVIO offers the independent aftermarket: decades of experience in original equipment, combined with unmistakable expertise for the independent aftermarket and a clear focus on the requirements of modern vehicle technologies.”

ATE: 120 years of braking expertise—and three new products

At Automechanika 2026, ATE will celebrate a very special anniversary: for 120 years, the brand has stood for safety, quality and technical innovation in braking systems. To mark this milestone, it will showcase several new products.

  • With the ATE MK 100 – ATE’s first complete ABS/ESP brake control system for the independent automotive aftermarket – workshops will be able to replace faulty brake control systems with a product that meets original equipment quality standards.
  • The new battery-powered ATE FB 5evm brake bleeder, designed for flexible use in workshops and on mobile service calls, enables brake systems to be bled without a compressed air connection.
  • Extention of product portfolio from the ATE New Original portfolio for electric vehicles support workshops in the professional maintenance of a growing fleet of electric vehicles and comply with the future particle limits of the Euro 7 standard.

VDO: Strong return to Automechanika

Automechanika 2026 also marks a special moment for VDO: after a lengthy absence, the brand is returning to the industry’s leading trade show for the first time. At the booth, visitors will gain a comprehensive insight into VDO’s current product portfolio for the independent aftermarket.

The new VDO battery lineup will take center stage. With this product range, VDO is strategically expanding its portfolio in an area that is becoming increasingly important for workshops: vehicle power supply is a growing service sector, both for conventional internal combustion engines and for vehicles with start-stop systems and mild-hybrid technology. In addition, VDO will showcase its broad range of products and system solutions for engine management, fuel systems and other vehicle components.

Working together for the aftermarket of the future

With ATE and VDO’s first joint appearance under the new AUMOVIO umbrella, the company is sending a clear message to the independent aftermarket. At the AUMOVIO booth A03 in the Forum, Level 0, workshops, retail partners and industry experts will find not only new products but also practical solutions and technical expertise for their day-to-day work. The trade show motto, “Shaping tomorrow. Together!”, sums up AUMOVIO’s approach: a partnership with retailers and workshops to advance the aftermarket together.
