Antaira BABA-Compliant Ethernet Switch – Antaira Technologies announced that its LMX-1204G-SFP-T-BABA Managed Gigabit Ethernet Switch is fully compliant with Phase 2 of the Build America, Buy America (BABA) Act, which took effect October 1, 2026. The switch is manufactured in the USA and available now. System integrators, contractors, and agencies can deploy it on federally funded infrastructure projects without domestic content risk.
Antaira also announced its next BABA-compliant platform, the LMP-1204G-SFP-bt-24-T-BABA. The new model adds up to 100W per port of IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ power to the series and is scheduled for production in Q1 2027.
The BABA Act sets domestic content requirements for infrastructure projects that receive federal financial assistance. Under Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) requirements, the domestic share of component costs for manufactured products rose to 55% on October 1, 2026.
The LMX-1204G-SFP-T-BABA meets that threshold. At least 55% of its component costs are mined, produced, or manufactured in the United States. This release is the next milestone in Antaira’s BABA initiative, which the company launched in 2025 when it introduced the LMX-1204G-SFP-T-BABA and expanded its manufacturing into the United States.
The LMX-1204G-SFP-T-BABA is a 12-port DIN-rail managed switch built for demanding field deployments:
- Flexible connectivity: eight 10/100/1000BASE-T(X) copper ports and four dual-rate 100/1000 SFP slots for fiber uplinks
- Enterprise-class management: VLAN, QoS, RADIUS, IEEE 802.1X, and TACACS+
- Network resilience: ITU-T G.8032 ERPS, STP, RSTP, and MSTP redundancy protocols
- Hardened design: IP30-rated metal enclosure, rated for operation from -40°C to 75°C (-40°F to 167°F)
Coming Q1 2027: High-Power PoE++
The upcoming LMP-1204G-SFP-bt-24-T-BABA brings BABA compliance to high-power Power over Ethernet applications. It delivers data and power to connected edge devices over a single Ethernet cable:
- Four IEEE 802.3bt PoE++ ports delivering up to 100W per port
- Four IEEE 802.3at PoE+ ports delivering up to 30W per port
- Four Gigabit SFP slots for fiber connectivity
- Wide 12–55VDC power input for deployment where lower-voltage DC sources are the norm, including industrial cabinets, roadside infrastructure, and mobile solar trailers
The switch is designed to power high-draw devices such as PTZ cameras, wireless access points, and communications equipment in transportation, security and surveillance, wireless communications, and other industrial networks.
