TME maintains its position among the 50 largest distributors in the world. This is confirmed by the latest publication of the report by the Electronic Components Industry Association (ECIA), one of the most important organizations bringing together distributors, manufacturers, and sales representatives in the electronic components sector.
TME ranked 49th among all distributors operating in the global market. In the EMEA region, the company was listed in the Top 10, taking 8th place. At the same time, it also holds a high 4th position in the High Service/E-Catalog category, maintaining high stock levels and delivering products off the shelf, including in small quantities.
– An important aspect of TME’s results is the gradually increasing share of sales in the Americas and Asia compared to sales in the EMEA region, which remains the key and dominant market for our company – says Grzegorz Kobalczyk, TME Sales Director.
Direction: Asia
Since 2019, the company has had a subsidiary in the United States, and since 2018 in China. Plans include further growth of the brand’s presence on the Asian continent. This is a very important direction because, according to the latest ECIA report, Asia is the main driver of market growth. Not only manufacturers but also distributors see the potential of the region, both in terms of its production capacity and market demand.
– Our experience from the European market shows that customers prefer brands they know and that are not represented solely by impersonal logos on the Internet. Hence our decision to develop additional subsidiaries in Asia, first in China and, in the near future, in India. We want the people of these countries to have the same opportunities to establish direct contact with our experts as Germans, Britons, or Poles can – adds Kobalczyk.
A trusted business partner
The ECIA report shows that in terms of sales structure, TME remains faithful to its policy of diversifying its offer. Individual product groups maintain around 10% share of total sales, for example, semiconductors – 9.1%, passive components – 7.9%, electromechanical – 8.9%. At the same time, the company continues to expand its catalog, which currently includes over 1 million products.
