Z-AXIS Named to Top 100 Companies List

Z-AXIS, a growing electronics design and manufacturing firm, has been named to the 2025 Greater Rochester Chamber Top 100 Companies list. Z-AXIS was ranked 45th and is one of only 18 manufacturing companies to make this prestigious list. There are over 35,000 businesses in the Greater Rochester, New York area, and approximately 2,000 of them are manufacturers.

To determine its Top 100 List, the Greater Rochester Chamber ranked companies according to revenue growth based on their three most recent fiscal years. Both dollar and percentage increases were considered. KPMG LLP, one of the nation’s Big Four accounting firms, confidentially reviewed individual revenue details for each company.

Members of the Top 100 Companies List must be privately-held and independent. In addition, they must have a minimum of $1 million in revenues for each of their three most recent fiscal years and have their headquarters in the Greater Rochester area, which includes Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Seneca, Wayne, Wyoming and Yates counties.

Z-AXIS was founded on October 1, 1989, and celebrated its 36th anniversary earlier this year. Michael Allen and co-owner Robin Allen purchased Z-AXIS on January 7, 2014. Michael Allen has held engineering and leadership roles at Z-AXIS since the company’s founding and served as Director of Engineering before becoming company President in 2006.

“Z-AXIS is honored to be named to the 2025 Greater Rochester Chamber Top 100 Companies list,” said Michael Allen. “We’re proud of our dedicated team and will continue to invest in personnel and equipment to provide our customers with top-notch electronics design and manufacturing services.”
