ipoque GmbH Grows Customer Base, Doubles Headcount & Expands Capabilities

Company growth underscores strength of solution portfolio

ipoque GmbH announced record growth in 2018, with three of the five leading virtualized evolved packet core (vEPC) vendors embedding ipoque’s R&S PACE 2 into their solutions. To meet increased customer demands, ipoque grew its employee headcount by nearly 115 percent year-over-year, making significant additions to its development team. The company also expanded geographically, opening a new office in Berlin.

ipoque’s growth is a testament to its powerful solution set, designed to meet the market’s most pressing needs. As concerns related to network subscriber intelligence and security heighten, ipoque enables users to secure superior traffic analytics and best manage network traffic via real-time monitoring and insights. In 2018, the company enhanced its product portfolio, updating:

  • R&S INTRA to include flexible counting of subscriber traffic, enhanced analytics for encrypted traffic and custom classification group reports that allow customers to more easily understand protocol and application usage.
  • R&S PACE 2 – DPI to better support horizontal scalability as needed for large-scale distributed cloud environments, wide area networks (WAN) or probes in the core network – as part of preparation for the emergence of 5G.

ipoque’s advanced suite of solutions not only appeals to the vEPC market, but also to communication service providers (CSPs) and network quality experts who want to build the highest quality end-user experiences possible. Increasingly, they are also being used for application performance intelligence purposes, as well as for support of internet security and parental controls.

2018 was a year of rapid growth and expansion for ipoque,” said Dirk Czepluch, CEO of ipoque. “In the year ahead, we will continue to enhance our solution set – focusing on driving the deployment and performance for full virtualization, especially with the emergence of 5G. We will also stay laser focused on building technical excellence in packet processing, traffic analytics and traffic management.”
