Aarfive Designs supported by Codasip to strengthen computer architecture knowledge and skills in India

Aarfive Designs, a startup in customized SoC solutions, and Codasip, the leader in RISC-V Custom Compute, have announced a collaboration within the Codasip University Program.

Aarfive is an Indian startup working on advanced concepts of SoC design, chiplets and design verification solutions. The company’s mission is to bridge the gap between academia and industry by fostering skill development at scale. Aarfive has strong ties with academic institutions and industry leaders to create solutions that drive progress and efficiency. Currently, the company is leading a project to improve students’ computer architecture knowledge and skills funded by eastern Indian regional government. To help Aarfive achieve this goal, Codasip has provided access to the Codasip University Program’s curriculum and cloud-based Codasip Studio design automation tools.

“At Aarfive Designs, we are dedicated to fostering a vibrant RISC-V ecosystem in India,” comments Priyanka Das, CEO, Aarfive Designs. “Through the launch of our RISC-V training academy, we are empowering Indian academics with the skills necessary. By equipping our brightest minds with RISC-V expertise, we are not only advancing innovation locally but also contributing to the global technological landscape.”

“Since we launched our University Program in early 2022, we have seen a tremendous interest from universities and students around the world,” says Keith Graham, Vice President, University Program and Customer Experience, Codasip. “We are glad to be able to support Aarfive in their mission to train the next generation of semiconductor professionals.”

The Codasip University Program aims to empower future innovators by equipping students to tackle cutting-edge challenges in processor architecture, security, AI/ML, safety, advanced memories, and specialized applications. The Program augments graduate and undergraduate computer engineering curriculums with materials and assignments, and by granting access to Codasip Studio design automation tools.
