Technology Day organized by B&R Industrial Automation brought together over 100+ delegates and 10 industry experts, who shared best practices and know-how about Industry 4.0 & Industrial IoT. The event held on July 17, 2017 in Coimbatore was partnered by A&D India, ITAMMA (Indian Textile Accessories & Machinery Manufacturers’ Association) and IPI (Indian Plastics Institute).

The event involved a mix of technical presentations, panel discussion, networking and it served as a right platform for B&R to announce its Coimbatore office operations.

The event provided a deeper insight on various aspects of cost-effective implementation of Industrial IoT& Industry 4.0 in brownfield plants, making machine and factories smart, benefits of using web-based visualization, secure remote diagnostics & maintenance possibilities and end-to-end connectivity via open source, vendor independent solutions.

Industry experts deliberate on Industry4.0 / IIoT

The panel discussion offered fresh perspective on the opportunities and challenges in manufacturing industry, and provided an ideal environment to discuss best practices and industry trends.

Interactive discussion on “Industry 4.0 & IIoT – What is in it for me?” helped to address various aspects including – benefits of successful deployment of Industrial IoT systems, Opportunities presented by IIoT, Technological and organizational challenges for companies, Steps organization should take to embark on the journey towards Industry 4.0 and B&Rsolutions to address major challenges in a cost effective method.
